From Haugesund, we sail through several islands in the wide Boknafjord and then on to the breathtakingly beautiful ‘Lysefjord’. A pristine and varied landscape with steep and forested mountain slopes, waterfalls and many islands.
The first day we sail to the island of Karmøy, with its picturesque harbour Skudenshavn with wooden fishermen’s cottages and nice walks along the coast. Depending on the weather and currents, this can be outside at sea, or inside. On the small island of Talgje, there is also another lovely walk with beautiful views of the Fjord and many deer roaming around.
Weather, wind and currents will determine the exact route, but the plan includes staying a day in Tau, from where the option is to hike to the spectacular viewpoint the ‘Preikestolen’.
We end the sailing trip in atmospheric Stavanger, full of colourful wooden houses, cosy streets with galleries, street art, shops and cafes. Here we end the sailing trip in a cosy restaurant and a nice pub.
The daily distances are between 15 and 25 nautical miles this sailing holiday.
The above schedule depends on weather, wind and tide, we will deviate from it if necessary.
Information on transfer options to the departure and from the arrival port are available from us on request.
Category C: Relaxed sailing holiday with shorter day distances and plenty of time for sightseeing.
