Flat-bottomed ships on the Baltic Sea? Don#t tehy belong in the Ijsselmeer? However, the robust, seaworthy flat-bottomed ships were already being used as cargo ships in Scandinavia in the first half of the 20th century. The shallow draught of the Elegant is ideal for exploring shallow coastal areas and still guarantees a high degree of stability in rough seas. Ideal for a trip to the Danish South Sea or along the German Baltic coast.

Kappeln is a lovely little maritime town with numerous cafés and restaurants. If you still have a little time before you come on board, the town centre with its many small shops and boutiques invites you to take a leisurely stroll through the town.

From Kappeln, we make our way across the impressive Schlei to the Baltic Sea. Then we let the wind decide where the journey takes us. Discover with us the pearls of the Baltic Sea, the Danish islands, each of which has its own unique character. Discover cosy harbour towns with colourful picture-book houses, white beaches, forests reaching down to the water and secluded anchor bays.

Or we sail along the German Baltic coast in the land of fjords between Kiel, Eckernförde and Flensburg. Between cliffs and rapeseed fields, the surroundings are characterised by campsites, marinas and small villages with half-timbered houses.

No matter where the wind takes you, you will be warmly welcomed in every harbour on the Baltic Sea. What are you waiting for … pack some sun and good wind in your sea bag and come on board!
