The Gulden Belofte was built in 1911 as a sailing cargo ship. Its cargo back then consisted of sugar beets and stones, transported to and from the Scandinavian islands across the North Sea and Zuiderzee. Today, the ship has been fully rebuilt and adapted for comfortable onboard stays, without losing the character of the original two-masted clipper. The Gulden Belofte is perfect for a wide range of activities, from relaxing sailing trips with a yoga retreat to an active group sailing holiday.
On board, there are 20 sleeping places spread across 6 double cabins and 2 quadruple cabins, each with access to one of the four showers and toilets. Thanks to central heating, the entire ship stays comfortably warm even during the low-season.
The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences, including a refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, and even a beer tap. In the cozy saloon, you’ll find a complete entertainment corner with a radio, DVD, CD, and MP3 player, as well as a TV, projector, and screen.
Outside, the large cockpit offers plenty of space for the entire group, and on the lounge cushions on deck, you can relax comfortably while enjoying the view.

It docks in beautiful towns such as Marken, Volendam, Hoorn, Enkhuizen, Muiden, and Amsterdam, where you can enjoy a guided tour. The Gulden Belofte also sails to several Dutch islands, including Texel, Vlieland, Terschelling, and the Marker Wadden.
