Join the Florette in the coastal city of Olbia, in north-eastern Sardinia. Olbia airport has good direct connections to most major airports in Europe and is just a short taxi ride from the port. If you arrive early, there are plenty of cafés scattered around the beautiful medieval piazzas to explore.

Explore the east coast of the island as we make the most of the wind. Learn the ropes of sailing under the guidance of an experienced crew, while enjoying the Mediterranean sunshine. The trip is perfect for those looking for an active sailing adventure in a beautiful sunshine destination.

Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean, with beautiful coastlines, crystal clear waters and a rich history. Known for its rugged landscapes and sandy beaches, such as the famous Costa Smeralda, the island offers a perfect balance between relaxation and adventure. Sardinia is steeped in ancient traditions, visible in the thousands of stone towers scattered across the land that bear witness to Nuragic civilisation. Culinary delights abound, with local dishes such as porceddu (roast pig) and traditional cheeses.

The Florette always tries to make the most of the wind, so you may find yourself sailing with her both north and south of Olbia. Whichever route is chosen, the entire coastline is full of beautiful sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and picturesque harbours to explore ashore. The north-east of the island is home to the Costa Smeralda, famous for its sandy beaches and clear turquoise waters. Here, the ship can anchor so you can explore charming Italian port towns or ancient cemeteries on land. Just relaxing on the beach is also possible, of course.

The La Maddalena archipelago is a must-see if the wind cooperates and Florette sets sail north. Known for its impressive natural beauty and crystal clear waters, La Maddalena is often called the Pearl of the Mediterranean. It is a tranquil archipelago with turquoise lagoons, hidden coves and uninhabited islands. Hundreds of quiet coves, surrounded by limestone cliffs, are home to some of Sardinia’s most beautiful beaches and offer the best clear water for swimming you can find in the Mediterranean.

Dive into the warm, inviting waters or stroll through the charming, historic cobbled streets while soaking up the vibrant Mediterranean culture and warm, golden sunshine. Go SUPing or use the sea kayaks aboard Florette to explore the coastline closer.

Frequently asked questions

We still handle your bookings personally and therefore do not have an automatic booking system. This way, we can enable you to reserve individual places for a few days without any obligation. This allows you, for example, to arrange your holiday without someone stealing your place from under your nose. For this reason, we cannot keep track of the exact number of free places on a daily basis. However, we regularly check the availability of our sailing holidays. Therefore, you can generally assume that plenty of free places are still available on all trips that are not marked as ‘fully booked’ or ‘Last Minute’. Call us or use our booking form if you want to know the exact number of places available.

If you are travelling alone and have not booked a private cabin, you will be accommodated in a shared cabin. Shared cabins are normally divided by gender. Only on the Belle Amie and Seatrips Yachts do they sometimes have mixed cabins.

Yes, vegetarians and allergies/intolerances can be catered for on most ships. However, there is only one menu per day on the programme. Therefore, please let us know during your booking if you have any special dietary requirements.

In principle, all our trips are suitable for both experienced and novice sailors. The professional crew on board will teach you everything you need to know. In some cases (e.g. on Atlantic crossings) initial sailing experience may be an advantage/requirement. In this case, this will be clearly indicated in the cruise description.
