Possible stopovers in Denmark, as well as on Rügen and Hiddensee.
Get ready for an unforgettable sailing trip along the German and Danish Baltic coasts! Your journey begins with an overnight stay in Rostock, where you will be welcomed on the first evening with a hearty stew. The captain will give a brief introduction, and then you will have time to explore the historic port city or admire the impressive traditional ships of the Hanse Sail.
The next morning, it’s time: we cast off! We set course for the Danish islands, and towards the end of the journey, we make stopovers on Hiddensee and/or Rügen to explore these unique natural paradises. Ideal conditions for an adventurous and authentic sailing experience aboard our historic ship!
Feel the freedom of the sea, enjoy the view of pristine shores and experience the Baltic Sea in a sustainable way. In fine weather, we can drop anchor in the evening and enjoy the sunset in the middle of the water – a magical moment to remember.
Our final leg takes us through the scenic waters between Rügen and the German mainland—or offshore via the open sea—to Sassnitz, a charming harbor town on the island’s eastern coast. This idyllic destination lies just a stone’s throw from the iconic white chalk cliffs and offers direct access to Jasmund National Park—an ideal spot to extend your holiday on land.
On August 16 and 17, Sassnitz also sets the stage for a spectacular international sporting event: the very first Germany Sail Grand Prix. As part of the prestigious SailGP competition, national teams race cutting-edge 50-foot foiling catamarans across the water at speeds of up to 100 km/h.
Sassnitz was chosen for its ideal sailing conditions just off the coast, allowing spectators to get a close-up view of the action. The natural beauty of the area—featuring the dramatic chalk cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and the historic harbor—provides a breathtaking backdrop for this unique sailing experience.
You can optionally extend the trip and add the regatta weekend. Together with the Elegant, you’ll sail to the regatta fields, where you can experience the spectacle up close.
