Come aboard the Florette on Spain’s northern coast in the seaport of La Coruña. The city’s history is closely linked to its historic fishing and trading port, and the peninsula on which the historic part of the city lies is home to an interesting Romanesque street network with market squares and medieval churches, as well as the Tower of Hercules, the oldest lighthouse in the world. The Museum of Fine Arts with works by Goya and others is also worth a visit before you embark!
From La Coruña, the Florette sails along the west coast of Spain and the coast of Portugal. Once the ship has crossed the invisible maritime border between Spain and Portugal, the bustling city of Porto with its colourful merchant houses along narrow cobbled streets awaits your visit. The last port of Cascais is right next to the city of Lisbon. It is definitely worth spending a few days here at the end of your trip!
This trip is perfect for exploring this warm summer sailing area and discovering coastal towns off the beaten tourist track. Anchor in estuaries and quiet bays, cool off in the clear waters, snorkel and use the Florette’s paddleboards. Explore the deep fjords, forested coasts and islets this landscape is famous for. Experience breathtaking mountains, the smell of eucalyptus in the air, traditional old villages and beautiful deserted estuaries. Exactly where the ship will stop depends on the weather and wind. A stopover at the beautiful Iles Cies at the mouth of the river Vigo, now home to a national park full of bird species, is also possible, for example. The days are spent with a mix of sailing and shore excursions. When we anchor, there is time for a hike, a bike ride or just a leisurely stroll.
