Join a unique sailing trip in early October and experience the Baltic Sea in its enchanting autumn atmosphere! Whether you’re a beginner stepping on board for the first time, an experienced sailor eager to explore new waters, or simply looking for a relaxing weekend at sea – this journey is for you.

Sail, Explore, and Relax

On board the Iris, you’ll find a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Share your passion for sailing with the crew and fellow sailors, creating unforgettable moments together. Discover the art of traditional sailing: help hoist the sails, perform maneuvers, take the helm yourself, and practice a few essential sailor’s knots. Of course, there’s also plenty of time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the fresh sea breeze.

2 overnight stays in Denmark or along the German coast

On Thursday evening, October 2, you’ll board the ship and get to know the vessel and your fellow travelers. The following morning, we’ll set sail and, depending on the wind and weather, head towards Denmark or the German coast, where we’ll spend two nights in different harbors.

Possible destinations include the idyllic Danish South Sea, with its picturesque islands and calm waters, or charming German harbor towns such as Flensburg or Kappeln.

Cozy atmosphere and comfort on board

Together with your fellow sailors, you’ll prepare delicious meals, which you can enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere. The Iris offers its guests comfort and hospitality, with cozy cabins and inviting communal spaces where you can unwind after a day on the water.

An adventurous journey with a flexible nature

As the route depends on weather conditions and other factors, the adventure remains dynamic and full of surprises. The crew will ensure we make the most of the conditions, providing you with an unforgettable experience. There will also be plenty of time to explore ashore, immerse yourself in the local culture, and enjoy the regional cuisine.

Frequently asked questions

We still handle your bookings personally and therefore do not have an automatic booking system. This way, we can enable you to reserve individual places for a few days without any obligation. This allows you, for example, to arrange your holiday without someone stealing your place from under your nose. For this reason, we cannot keep track of the exact number of free places on a daily basis. However, we regularly check the availability of our sailing holidays. Therefore, you can generally assume that plenty of free places are still available on all trips that are not marked as ‘fully booked’ or ‘Last Minute’. Call us or use our booking form if you want to know the exact number of places available.

If you are travelling alone and have not booked a private cabin, you will be accommodated in a shared cabin. The shared cabins are usually assigned based on gender.

Exceptions:

  • On the Belle Amie and the Seatrips yachts, there are sometimes mixed-gender cabins as well.
  • On the Sir Robert, there are no shared cabins. Are you traveling alone? Then you must book a single cabin..

Yes, vegetarians and allergies/intolerances can be catered for on most ships. On some ships, the menu can also be adapted for vegans. However, there is only one menu per day on the programme. Therefore, please let us know during your booking if you have any special dietary requirements.

In principle, all our trips are suitable for both experienced and novice sailors. The professional crew on board will teach you everything you need to know. In some cases (e.g. on Atlantic crossings) initial sailing experience may be an advantage/requirement. In this case, this will be clearly indicated in the cruise description.
