This sailing trip goes deep into the Geirangerfjord, Unesco World Heritage Site with rugged, snow-capped peaks and spectacular waterfalls such as the ‘syv søstrene’ (the Seven Sisters). A pristine and varied landscape with steep and forested mountain slopes and deep fjords were created during the ice age. In Geiranger, we stay for a day of hiking and sightseeing.
This sailing holiday starts and ends in Ålesund, one of Norway’s most unique towns due to its atmospheric Art Nouveau-style architecture, newly rebuilt after an all-destructive fire in 1904, making this town unique in Norway. From the top in the city park Aksla, you have breathtaking views of the town, the mountains and the sea. A climb of 418 steps, but at the top sits a café with panoramic views and, among other things, delicious Donuts.
The daily distances on this sailing holiday are between 16 and 40 nautical miles. The above schedule depends on weather, wind and tide, we will deviate from it if necessary.
Category C/F: Relaxed sailing holiday with shorter day distances and plenty of time for sightseeing. Sailing holiday suitable for small children too.
