Do you dream of a breathtaking sailing adventure on a historic ship? Then you’ve come to the right place! We cordially invite you to participate in the Rum Regatta 2025 with the Belle Amie. And that means: 4 days of sailing, three regattas, four harbour parties and more than a hundred old sailing ships around us.
Day 1: The herring regatta from Kappeln to Sønderborg (29 May 2025)
Op Hemelvaartsdag zeilen we van Kappeln naar Sønderborg. Ervaar de verfrissende bries van de Oostzee en geniet van het zeilen op een historische Logger tijdens de unieke Haringregatta.
In Sønderborg, the Gaffelmarkt will take place around the castle. Together, we will conjure up a delicious dinner on board in the evening. It’s time to enjoy the atmosphere of this port town on deck. In the harbour, we spend cosy time with other sailing ships, eat a delicious soft ice cream, make music together, chat, take a dip in the nearby sea or take a stroll through Sønderborg or the nearby castle park.
Day 2: Flensburg Fjord Regatta from Sønderborg to Flensburg (30 May 2025)
The next day we will take part in the Flensburg Fjord Regatta. Sail together with many small and large gaff sailors through the picturesque Flensburg Fjord and compete against other passionate sailors. A unique experience!
Day 3: The Rum Regatta on the Flensburg Fjord (31 May 2025)
The highlight of this trip is the legendary Rum Regatta on the Flensburg Fjord. The special thing about this regatta is that not the first, but the second ship wins the coveted 3-litre bottle of rum. Who will make it this year? The market and the city of Flensburg invite for rum, music and fun in the evening
This sailing trip will take place aboard the historic Belle Amie, a ship with a rich tradition. Everyone is welcome to take part in this exciting race, no sailing experience is required. Together, we set sail, manoeuvre and bring the old lady on course. Along the way, we will be in the best company of many other gaff sailors in the Flensburg Fjord.
Day 4: RumZeilen (1 June 2025)
With the day trip ‘Rum Sailing’ on Sunday, we will appropriately conclude this long regatta weekend. There might be tea with rum in the morning, socialising and, of course, sailing on Sunday after the Rum Regatta.
It is also possible to book the individual regattas as day trips without overnight stays. Ask us about the possibilities.
Depending on the booking schedule, it is also possible to include a pre-night stay on the ship on request. Ask us about the possibilities!
