Experience a unique Pentecost weekend on the Zevenwouden!

Seize the chance to spend an unforgettable Pentecost weekend on a traditional sailing ship of the brown fleet. Book your spot on the Zevenwouden and discover the IJsselmeerin a special way. If the weather is good, a trip to the Wadden Sea is also possible.

The Zevenwouden, a beautiful clipper, offers the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and comfort. Sail across the wide waters of the IJsselmeer and enjoy the authentic maritime atmosphere on board. Everyone can help with the sailing, but there is also plenty of opportunity to relax and take in the view.

Starting point: the Frisian port town of Stavoren.

Your adventure begins in the charming Frisian town of Stavoren, an ideal base for your sailing holiday. From here, we set course for the most beautiful places in the north of the Netherlands. Let yourself be carried by the wind and become one with the elements!

The Ijsselmeer and Wadden Sea

The IJsselmeer is one of the largest inland waters in Europe, with vast open waters that are perfect for relaxed sailing. Along the coast lie picturesque historic harbor towns such as Enkhuizen, Hoorn, and Urk, where you can moor to explore the local sights.

In favorable weather conditions, we can also sail to the Wadden Islands. Discover the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea and its unique islands: Terschelling, Vlieland, Ameland, Texel, and Schiermonnikoog.

Skipper Janine will guide you.

The experienced skipper Janine has been sailing on the IJsselmeer, the Wadden Sea, and the Frisian canals for over 30 years and knows these waters like the back of her hand. She shares fascinating stories about sailing and the region and provides the best tips for activities on shore. Thanks to her experience, your sailing trip will be an unforgettable experience.

Frequently asked questions

We still handle bookings personally and therefore do not have an automated booking system. This allows us to offer you the option to reserve individual spots without obligation for a few days. This way, for example, you can arrange your vacation without anyone snatching your spot right under your nose. For this reason, we are unable to keep track of the exact number of available spots on a daily basis. However, we regularly check the availability of our sailing holidays. Therefore, you can generally assume that there are still enough available spots on all trips that are not marked as “fully booked” or “Last Minute.” Call us or use our booking form if you want to know the exact number of available spots.

If you are travelling alone and have not booked a private cabin, you will be accommodated in a shared cabin. The shared cabins are usually assigned based on gender.

Exceptions:

  • On the Belle Amie and the Seatrips yachts, there are sometimes mixed-gender cabins as well.
  • On the Sir Robert, there are no shared cabins. Are you traveling alone? Then you must book a single cabin..

Yes, vegetarians and allergies/intolerances can be catered for on most ships. On some ships, the menu can also be adapted for vegans. However, there is only one menu per day on the programme. Therefore, please let us know during your booking if you have any special dietary requirements.

In principle, all our trips are suitable for both experienced and novice sailors. The professional crew on board will teach you everything you need to know. In some cases (e.g. on Atlantic crossings) initial sailing experience may be an advantage/requirement. In this case, this will be clearly indicated in the cruise description.
