From sunny Lanzarote to lively Tenerife via Gran Canaria

While in Northern Europe the days are still cold and gray, we board in Lanzarote and the journey begins with sun, wind, and an endless horizon. These remarkable volcanic islands invite exploration: moon-like lava fields, green wine terraces, and whitewashed villages where time seems to stand still.

Start in Lanzarote

We depart from Marina Rubicón on the south coast. A perfect first leg: relaxing while getting familiar with the yacht and crew, enjoying the first breeze, and soaking up the Canary Islands atmosphere right away.

Atlantic crossing to Tenerife

Then the real adventure begins: a night passage of over 130 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean. With the steady northeast trade winds and mild temperatures, conditions are ideal. As the stars sparkle above, the ocean reveals its pure beauty. In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a vibrant city awaits—a delightful mix of culture and nature. Those who wish can take a trip to the impressive Anaga Rural Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with rugged cliffs, lush forests, and breathtaking views.

Gran Canaria – colorful and charming

The next leg takes us to Gran Canaria. Between the islands, the wind often blows strongly—ideal for sporty sailing over deep blue, sparkling waves. The destination is the picturesque Puerto de Mogán, the “Venice of the Canary Islands,” famous for its canals, colorful façades, and fragrant bougainvillea. Here, there’s time to relax or explore—for example, the mysterious dunes of Maspalomas, a desert by the sea.

Final destination: South Tenerife

Our final leg takes us through the acceleration zone to South Tenerife. In San Miguel or Las Galletas, we toast with tapas and wine to a journey full of sun, wind, and unforgettable moments.

During this sailing holiday, we cover daily legs between 20 and 150 nautical miles. The itinerary mentioned above depends on weather, wind, and tides. If necessary, we may deviate from the schedule.

Category A/C: A combination of a longer crossing and shorter legs with time for excursions on shore. Part of the sailing is done at night in a watch system. Perfect for sailors who want to experience open-sea sailing but also explore the surroundings.

If you book with a group (from 3 people), each person receives a 2.5% discount (not combinable with the young adults’ discount).

Frequently asked questions

We still handle bookings personally and therefore do not have an automated booking system. This allows us to offer you the option to reserve individual spots without obligation for a few days. This way, for example, you can arrange your vacation without anyone snatching your spot right under your nose. For this reason, we are unable to keep track of the exact number of available spots on a daily basis. However, we regularly check the availability of our sailing holidays. Therefore, you can generally assume that there are still enough available spots on all trips that are not marked as “fully booked” or “Last Minute.” Call us or use our booking form if you want to know the exact number of available spots.

If you are travelling alone and have not booked a private cabin, you will be accommodated in a shared cabin. The shared cabins are usually assigned based on gender.

Exceptions:

  • On the Belle Amie and the Seatrips yachts, there are sometimes mixed-gender cabins as well.
  • On the Sir Robert, there are no shared cabins. Are you traveling alone? Then you must book a single cabin..

Yes, vegetarians and allergies/intolerances can be catered for on most ships. On some ships, the menu can also be adapted for vegans. However, there is only one menu per day on the programme. Therefore, please let us know during your booking if you have any special dietary requirements.

In principle, all our trips are suitable for both experienced and novice sailors. The professional crew on board will teach you everything you need to know. In some cases (e.g. on Atlantic crossings) initial sailing experience may be an advantage/requirement. In this case, this will be clearly indicated in the cruise description.
