Lines off for a true Wadden Sea adventure! This trip from Norddeich takes you through the German Wadden Sea, with stops at the East Frisian Islands, depending on wind and tides. Perfect for nature lovers, adventurers, and anyone looking to fully unwind.
The Pegasus is one of the few traditional sailing ships able to navigate the German Wadden Sea. Thanks to her shallow draft and streamlined hull, she easily maneuvers through narrow channels and over sandbanks. Even small, shallow island harbors pose no problem.
As a flat-bottomed vessel, she can even dry out on the mudflats in suitable weather. After high tide, the ship is positioned on a sandbank, and as the tide recedes, the water flows away, leaving the ship resting on the seabed. This allows you to go ashore for a unique mudflat walk — an experience not to be missed!
We sail through the Wadden Sea, hopping between the East Frisian Islands. Depending on wind and weather, we may stop at Borkum, Juist, Norderney, Baltrum, or Langeoog — or head west toward the Dutch Wadden Islands. Each island offers endless beaches, untouched dunes, charming villages, and peaceful, wide-open landscapes. Those who prefer to stay on board can fully enjoy the wind in the sails and simply relax.
After a week full of sea air, (hopefully) sunshine, and adventure, we set course back to Norddeich.
