Corsica – Calvi – Capo Rosso – Bonifacio – Palau – Sardinia
This special trip marks the end of the sailing season. Seize the last chance this year to set sail with the Sir Robert! From the charming Villefranche-sur-Mer near Nice, we sail along the coasts of Corsica, experiencing a mix of nature, culture, and tranquility on the sea. The exact route is determined by the captain, depending on wind and weather conditions.
Possible highlights along the Corsican coast
We can set course for Cap Corse, the rugged northern tip of Corsica, or sail further south to Calvi with its impressive citadel. A visit to the La Scandola Nature Reserve is also possible, with its red-hued rock formations and rich flora and fauna. Other potential stops include Girolata, an idyllic fishing village accessible only by boat, and Capo Rosso, where impressive caves can be explored by dinghy.
Islands and charming villages along the way
Depending on the wind, we may visit the Iles de Sanguinaires, a group of islands with clear waters and inviting walking paths, or the picturesque village of Cargèse, known for its Greek and Catholic churches. In the Gulf of Valinco, Porto Pollo is a possible anchorage, as is the Gulf of Roccapina with the famous Rocher du Lion rock formation and the wide Plage Erbaju beach.
To the southern tip of Corsica and onward to Sardinia
One of the highlights along the way is likely Bonifacio, spectacularly perched atop limestone cliffs, with its narrow streets and stunning views. On the route to Sardinia, the Lavezzi Islands can also be visited, a protected nature reserve popular with snorkelers and beach lovers.
The journey ends in the bay of La Sciumara near Palau, close to Olbia, where we disembark and reflect on a remarkable voyage.
