Set off for a real Wadden Sea adventure! This Wadden Sea trip takes you from Norddeich through the German Wadden Sea – with possible stops on the East Frisian islands, depending on wind and tide conditions. No experience is required: Perfect for nature lovers, adventurers and anyone who really wants to get away from it all!
The Pegasus is one of the few traditional sailing ships that can sail on the German tidal flats, as her shallow draft and slender hull allow her to sail through narrow channels and over sandbanks. Even small, shallow island ports are no problem for the Pegasus.
As a flat-bottomed ship, the Pegasus can fall dry on the mudflats in favorable weather conditions. The ship is placed on a sandbank at high tide, after which the water flows away with the ebb and the ship eventually lies dry on the seabed. You can then disembark and take a short mudflat walk. Don’t miss this unique experience!
We sail through the Wadden Sea, hopping between the East Frisian islands. Depending on the wind and weather, we make a stop at Borkum, Juist, Norderney or Langeland. On each island, kilometres of beach, pristine dunes and perhaps a leisurely stroll through the peaceful, vast landscape await. For those who prefer to stay on board, this is the perfect time to enjoy the wind in the sails and clear your head.
After a week full of sea air, sunshine (hopefully) and lots of adventure, we set sail back to Norddeich.
