Experience an active Easter sailing holiday on Dutch waters. Your neighbouring country is within easy reach and yet a little holiday abroad and a different culture awaits you. Perhaps you will take a piece of Dutch serenity home with you…

Your journey starts in the Frisian town of Harlingen. From this bustling port town, we set sail for the most beautiful areas in the north of our country. Just blow through and become one with the elements!

Weather permitting, it will be Easter egg hunt on the Wadden Islands. Discover the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site with its unique islands of Terschelling, Vlieland, Ameland, Texel and Schiermonnikoog.

Weather permitting, you can also fall dry with the BreeSant. To do this, the ship is sailed onto a sandbank after high tide. The water then flows away with the ebb until the ship finally lies dry on the seabed. You can then disembark and take a short walk across the mudflats. Don’t miss this unique experience! As the tide slowly begins to fill the channels with water again, seals take their last chance for a sunbath and numerous birds are diligently looking for food. In between, we silently glide over the water under sail and enjoy this spectacle, the peace and space.

A tour across the IJsselmeer and the Frisian canals is also possible: since 1932, the Afsluitdijk with its two locks has separated the mudflats from the IJsselmeer, protecting the many old Dutch harbour towns from the sometimes unpredictable tides. The former Zuiderzee has now become a true sailing paradise and you can easily sail far inland via numerous canals. Are you coming on a trip through Friesland and North Holland?

On the BreeSant, active sailing is not only allowed, but also strongly encouraged. Be part of the crew and experience the fascination of sailing.
