An Easter sailing trip is a wonderful alternative for anyone looking to spend the holidays in a different way. Instead of family brunches and Easter fires, you’ll enjoy fresh North Sea air, active sailing, and a good dose of relaxation. Perfect for those wanting to escape the holiday hustle and immerse themselves in nature rather than the Easter chaos… And of course, you’ll find a few Easter eggs on board as well.
From the moment the first sail is raised, you feel the daily worries fade away. The fresh sea breeze blows past your nose, and with a bit of luck, we’re accompanied by seagulls or seals.
In the days that follow, we sail along the West and East Frisian Islands — Vlieland, Terschelling, Ameland, Schiermonnikoog, Borkum, Juist, or Norderney may be on your route. You’ll have the chance to explore small island harbors, take long beach walks, soak in the vastness of the mudflats, or enjoy the first rays of sunshine of the season on a terrace in a charming island village.
Together with the captain and the mate, you raise the sails, perform maneuvers, practice knots, or steer the ship under guidance. Before entering the harbor, the sails are neatly stowed away again — this way, you actively become part of the crew and learn the basics of traditional sailing in a hands-on way.
Sailing through narrow channels, over sandbanks, and into tidal harbors requires a lot of experience and skilled sail handling. This is a challenge our experienced crew has successfully met for years—and from which you will greatly benefit. Whether you are a seasoned sailor looking to expand your knowledge of tidal waters or a complete beginner, this trip offers a chance to learn about the unique conditions of the Wadden Sea area.
