From Island Hopping to an Atlantic Adventure
During this unique sailing adventure, you’ll combine exploring the most beautiful Canary Islands with an unforgettable ocean crossing to lush Madeira. In the first days, we sail along the mountainous, green La Gomera and the unspoiled La Palma, giving you time to get comfortable with the ship, the crew, and the gentle ocean swell. Along the way, you’ll enjoy charming Spanish harbors, a relaxed atmosphere, and the delightful subtropical climate.
Two Days on the Open Ocean – 270 Nautical Miles of Sailing
Next awaits a spectacular adventure: a 270-nautical-mile crossing of the Atlantic Ocean, offering two full days of intense ocean sailing. Life on board follows a relaxed but well-organized rhythm with a three-watch system, ensuring everyone gets enough rest while staying alert during their watch. At night, you’ll experience a mesmerizing starry sky and the unique silence of the open ocean – an experience you’ll never forget.
Nature and Relaxation to Remember
While sailing across the azure Atlantic Ocean, you’ll be treated to spectacular sunsets, sparkling starry skies, and the chance to encounter dolphins or even whales. Upon arrival in Madeira, we’ll, if possible, dock in a picturesque harbor to soak up the local atmosphere and recharge. The journey concludes in Funchal, where we’ll relive the adventure together over a cozy evening in a traditional Portuguese restaurant.
This sailing trip is perfect for adventurous sailors who want to experience an ocean crossing in a safe, relaxed atmosphere, while also enjoying island hopping, nature, and culture – the ideal balance between active sailing and leisurely exploration.
Daily distances vary between 18 and 270 nautical miles, depending on weather and tides. The above schedule is subject to weather, wind, and tide conditions and may be adjusted if necessary.
Category A/C: Crossing – this is a true ocean sailing leg, covering miles from one port to another. Night sailing will also take place in a watch system. Before and after the crossing to Madeira, there is time for shorter day sails and exploring onshore.
