The Bluescruise is an annual festival weekend featuring the unique combination of sailing and blues/roots music. Guests sail and stay overnight on historic sailing ships. The musicians also sleep on board. Both in departure port Harlingen and on Terschelling, there is a full evening programme with lots of blues and roots music. In short: sailing on the Wadden Sea during the day and enjoying live music in the evening.

On Friday evening, check in aboard the Spes Mea. Later in the evening, several blues bands will set the mood in Harlingen with their rocking and swinging music. On Saturday morning, after breakfast and a short sailing briefing, we will set sail on the Wadden Sea and set course for Terschelling. Not just the guests, musicians sail along too. If you are lucky, they will grab an instrument on board for a mini boat concert.

After a wonderful day of sailing in this unique natural area, the ships dock in Terschelling harbour. After dinner, prepared on board, blues bands will perform in various bars in the village of West-Terschelling. On Sunday, we sail back to Harlingen.

Sailing experience is not necessary; an experienced crew is on board to explain everything. Everyone can help with hoisting the sails, tacking, etc. What could be better than sailing together on a traditional sailing ship across the beautiful Wadden Sea to your destination and then enjoying several live concerts afterwards?

All meals on board are included. However, everyone on board is expected to help prepare meals and/or do the dishes.

If you book this trip, you will have free access to all Blues concerts.

SParticipating Bands:

In principle, all our trips are suitable for both experienced and novice sailors. The professional crew on board will teach you everything you need to know.
