Discover the Baltic Sea in an active way.

Are you ready for a break that truly refreshes you? Step on board and join us for a three-day sailing adventure around the stunning island of Rügen! Experience Germany’s largest island like never before – from the water. White chalk cliffs, picturesque coastal villages, and quiet bays – a nature experience you won’t forget.

Whether you’re a sailing beginner or already experienced on the water, you decide whether to actively help out or simply lean back and enjoy the wind in your hair. Each day brings new horizons, fresh sea breezes, and the unique feeling of total freedom on the water.

Why this sailing trip around Rügen is perfect for you:

✔ Three days at sea, one island, countless impressions – discover Rügen far from the crowds
✔ Pure nature experience – chalk cliffs, Baltic seaside resorts, and charming harbors
✔ For beginners and experienced sailors – whether you want to learn to sail or already have experience
✔ Always a unique route – guided by wind and weather
✔ Personal & exclusive – no crowds on board, just you, the crew, and the sea

This is how your sea adventure unfolds:

🗓 Day 1: Stralsund → Hiddensee → Kaap Arkona → Lohme/Glowe

  • 10:30 AM: Check-in & cabin assignment at City Marina Stralsund
  • Safety briefing and hoisting the sails
  • Sailing past Hiddensee and Cape Arkona – with views of the “söte Länneken” (the “sweet little land”)
  • Evening arrival in Lohme or Glowe – charming harbors full of character

🌅 Day2: Chalk coast → Binz → Seedorf/Gager

  • Breakfast with a sea view on deck
  • Sailing along the impressive chalk cliffs – including the famous Königsstuhl
  • Passing the seaside resorts of Binz, Sellin, Baabe & Göhren
  • Overnight stay in Seedorf or Gager

🌊 Day 3: Greifswalder Bodden → Stralsund

  • Sailor’s breakfast
  • Sailing through the Greifswalder Bodden and the Strelasund
  • 3:20 PM: Passage under the Ziegelgraben Bridge
  • Around 4:00 PM: Arrival in Stralsund – with a head full of sea breeze and new impressions

In total, you’ll sail approximately 100 nautical miles, which the skipper will, of course, gladly confirm for you. Please note: the route may vary depending on wind and weather.

Alternative route in bad weather – sailing tour in the sheltered waters around Rügen

If the weather doesn’t allow for a full circumnavigation of Rügen, we will adjust our route flexibly. Instead of sailing on the open Baltic Sea, we then sail in the sheltered waters. Rügen’s protected sailing area offers varied and safe sailing even in more challenging conditions. It’s important to us that you have the best possible sailing experience – truly under sail, not motoring. This way, even without a complete circumnavigation of the island, we can enjoy beautiful days on the water, with the wind in the sails, nature all around, and time to relax.

Who is this sailing trip suitable for?

For beginners – No experience needed, just a desire for an active sailing adventure and teamwork
For experienced sailors – In good conditions, we hoist the gennaker/spinnaker for extra sailing fun
For pleasure-seekers & nature lovers – Away from the crowds, back to the calm of the sea

Dreaming of the sea? We make it a reality.
Book your spot now and experience the Baltic Sea like never before – authentic, intense, and unforgettable.

Frequently asked questions

We still handle your bookings personally and therefore do not have an automatic booking system. This way, we can enable you to reserve individual places for a few days without any obligation. This allows you, for example, to arrange your holiday without someone stealing your place from under your nose. For this reason, we cannot keep track of the exact number of free places on a daily basis. However, we regularly check the availability of our sailing holidays. Therefore, you can generally assume that plenty of free places are still available on all trips that are not marked as ‘fully booked’ or ‘Last Minute’. Call us or use our booking form if you want to know the exact number of places available.

If you are travelling alone and have not booked a private cabin, you will be accommodated in a shared cabin. The shared cabins are usually assigned based on gender.

Exceptions:

  • On the Belle Amie and the Seatrips yachts, there are sometimes mixed-gender cabins as well.
  • There are no shared cabins on the Sir Robert. Are you travelling alone? Then you should book a single cabin.

Yes, vegetarians and allergies/intolerances can be catered for on most ships. On some ships, the menu can also be adapted for vegans. However, there is only one menu per day on the programme. Therefore, please let us know during your booking if you have any special dietary requirements.

In principle, all our trips are suitable for both experienced and novice sailors. The professional crew on board will teach you everything you need to know. In some cases (e.g. on Atlantic crossings) initial sailing experience may be an advantage/requirement. In this case, this will be clearly indicated in the cruise description.
