This trip from Norddeich to Harlingen is just as much a surprise as the trip from Kiel to Norddeich, because we can’t sail on the North Sea in all weathers.

Various routes lead across the German/Dutch mudflats, across the North Sea or across the Dutch inland waters via Groningen and Leeuwarden (standing mast route only if the weather is too bad!) Some things are possible, but it can get a bit rough on the water. Good, warm clothing is therefore a must.

One or more stopovers on the Dutch Wadden Islands are possible, for example. These islands are known for their natural beauty, beaches and relaxed atmosphere. The islands have salt air, beautiful nature and friendly inhabitants in common, yet each has its own charm and special atmosphere:

Texel is still a real fishing island today and the inhabitants like to show it. In the immediate vicinity of the harbour you will find many fish shops and smokehouses, a great museum and of course many wool products from the world-famous Texel sheep. If you really want to see something of this large island, you can hire a bike directly from the harbour.Vlieland, the smallest of the islands, has wonderful nature to offer. Here you will find peace and space, beaches and dunes, a unique sky and sweeping views over the North Sea and the Wadden Sea. Terschelling is full of life! Every walk through the woods and dunes leads you back to the cosy village at some point. Cafés, bars and restaurants are lined up here and everything has its very own charm. Simply Dutch cosy! Unfortunately, time always flies by…

The destination of the trip is Harlingen, the home harbour of numerous traditional sailing ships. A fleet of around 70 ships sails in and out of the harbour during the summer months. With its 7 harbours and many historic packing houses, Harlingen not only offers a great backdrop for the many sailors, but is also the gateway to the islands.

In principle, all our trips are suitable for both experienced and novice sailors. The professional crew on board will teach you everything you need to know. In some cases (e.g. on Atlantic crossings) initial sailing experience may be an advantage/requirement. In this case, this will be clearly indicated in the cruise description.
