What costs are added to the ship hire?
- Port fees (approx. 60€ – 120€ per port; depending on sailing area and ship); For voyages in the Netherlands (IJsselmeer and Waddenzee), port fees are included.
- Engine hours. One engine hour per day is included in the ship’s hire. This is normally sufficient to enter and exit ports. If you want to reach a destination that cannot be reached by sailing with the current weather conditions (e.g. low wind or wrong wind direction); the cost of diesel will be charged. This is always in consultation with the skipper or captain.
- Costs for final cleaning (unless stated otherwise)
- Optionally, you can rent duvets and towels on most ships. However, this is not compulsory. You can also choose to bring sleeping bags and your own towels.
- Food & Drinks. Ship hire is always on a self-catering basis. On some ships, you have the option of booking catering or a shopping service with it.
- Transfer to/from the ship, travel and cancellation insurance.
