Discover the natural beauty of the Wadden Sea National Park and the West Frisian Islands from the water. While the tide slowly fills the mud flats, the seals take a quick sunbath and various migratory birds fill their bellies so that they can hold out until the next low tide. In between, you glide slowly, almost silently under sail and enjoy the view of islands as they used to be – untouched nature, a small village, some agriculture and a harbour – no sign of large hotel castles!
It is also possible that we sail around the IJsselmeer and the Frisian canals: since 1932, the Afsluitdijk with its two locks has separated the mudflats from the IJsselmeer, protecting the many old Dutch harbour towns from the sometimes unpredictable tides. The former Zuiderzee has now become a true sailing paradise and you can easily sail far inland via numerous canals. Would you like to join us on a trip through Friesland and North Holland?
