Join a sailing trip on the Wadden Sea and discover the islands of Vlieland, Terschelling, and Texel. On Thursday, April 2nd, from 8:00 p.m., the ship’s crew will welcome you on board in Harlingen.
After boarding, a fragrant stew will be waiting for you, followed by a short briefing from the captain. The first evening will be spent in the harbour city of Harlingen – a historic town with beautiful canal houses, old warehouses, and the home port of the traditional “brown fleet.” You can take an evening stroll through the old town or admire the other classic sailing ships before setting off on your adventure together with the crew and fellow guests.
The next morning begins with a hearty breakfast. Then it’s time to cast off! Before departure, the crew will give a short explanation of what happens on deck, and you’re warmly invited to help hoist the sails and take part in the manoeuvres – although there’s also plenty of opportunity to simply enjoy the wide-open views and the fresh sea air.
As the sails rise, you’ll feel the power of wind and water. Along the way, you’ll encounter many other traditional sailing ships setting out at the same time – together they create an impressive spectacle on the Wadden Sea.
During the journey, you’ll explore some of the most beautiful Wadden Islands:
- Vlieland, quiet and green, with wide beaches and a charming village.
- Terschelling, known for its lively villages, lighthouse, and diverse nature.
- Texel, the largest island, rich in culture, with sheep pastures and long cycling paths.
Each island has its own unique character and invites you to walk, explore, and, of course, hunt for Easter eggs!
The exact route depends on the wind and will be discussed once on board. Other destinations, such as the IJsselmeer, are also possible.
Celebrate Easter in a unique way: with sailing, good food, great company, and the untamed power of nature.
