How do I find a suitable ship for my sailing trip?

Want to plan a sailing trip for a group? We have ships in all sizes and price ranges. Therefore, think carefully about what you are looking for beforehand. The following points can help you:

Sailing area/port of departure: A trip on the Baltic Sea or rather on the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea? More information on the possibilities can be found under ‘Sailing areas’.
Period/date: Tell us your desired travel period and, if possible, alternative dates.
Number of sailors: How many people would you like to sail with? How many cabins should the ship have?
Equipment/comfort: The furnishing of the ships varies from rustic to luxurious. Please let us know if you have any special requirements regarding the accommodation.
Budget: If you have a limited budget (e.g. for a school trip), please let us know in advance so we can take this into account when choosing a ship.
Catering: Organise it yourself or have it catered for completely? Catering can be organised entirely according to your wishes and budget. On almost all ships, you can also cater for yourself. A fully equipped galley is available for this purpose.

Then send us your enquiry with the details above. Just use our enquiry form. We will get back to you as soon as possible with a tailor-made quote.

Do you still have questions or don’t know exactly what you are looking for? We would be happy to advise you personally. Feel free to call us for an informal chat: Contact

What is a day like aboard a sailing ship?

After arriving on board, you will be welcomed by the captain and his crew and the main ‘rules of the ship’ will be explained. You will get to know your fellow sailors and together the voyage/route will be discussed. On the first day of sailing, after breakfast, you will receive detailed explanations about the ship and sails. Then the sails are hoisted and a course is set for the first destination port. The adventure begins!

Each day we will sail for an average of 5-8 hours. At the end of the day, we will sail into a cosy harbour or anchor in a beautiful bay. Of course, besides sailing there is always plenty of time to get to know the surroundings. The route is never fixed in advance, but depends on weather and wind. Relaxing days with sun and swimming are just as possible as days with a lot of wind and demanding sailing – it’s all in there.

For catering, a fully equipped kitchen is available on all ships. It has proved useful to form small cooking groups that take turns preparing and washing up meals for the whole group. Of course, this is also a fun way to get to know each other and build a team. On some ships and on our individual trips, it is also possible to book a trip with full board. Feel free to ask about the possibilities.
